I've drawn all seventeen pages and loaded them into the computer, ready to be colored and cleaned. Yes, I draw them by hand. Yes, I scan them in on a shitty office scanner from 2012 which adds like an extra hour each to my cleanup time. I swear, if my system was any more low tech, I'd be some crazed Amish nerd posting from a computer inexplicably powered by coal steam and a compressed air canister.

So, yeah - waist-high in thick, steaming, pungent post-production, but I'm hoping to have the next chapter ready to go on Twitter by no later than April 22th. But I bet I can get it up faster than that! Watch my dust!

I regret that new artworks have been fewer and further between. But I am currently engaging in some good-natured dumbassery on Xitter which is leading up to some entertaining stuff for Valentine's Day. Also, layouts are coming along at a decent clip, and I'll hopefully have updates for the next side story soon. It's called "Crashing," and at 17 pages, it will be the biggest of the side stories so far. It will also be the last of the side stories.

After that will come Part 3 of When We Were Strangers. It is the finale. WWWS will end after that.

Oooooooo.

But it's still going to take until probably the end of the year before I can bring this whole thing to a satisfying conclusion. So, let's enjoy the time together until then. 🙂

I know they're not quite everyone's cup of tea, but the star counts are higher than I thought. That said, people here are very generous, and I think you have to be actively drawing in crayon, with your non-dominant hand and uploading a photo of the results taken with an old flip phone to get under three stars.

So, for those who like them, I'm glad that you do, and thank you so much for your support! We still have one more side story and the grand finale that is Part 3! How am I going to get them up here? Well . . . I guess I'll have to become a paid supporter once they're ready! We can cross that bridge when we get to it.

I still feel a little awkward on Newgrounds. I still feel like my work doesn't quite fit in here, both on a technical level and due to the fact that if I shipped Pico and BF any harder, I'd have my own international freight lane. I still am apprehensive about how my comics will be received here.

But I am done worrying about it.

I'm going to start uploading the whole damn thing by chapter, as far as I've gotten it done.

Yes, the fact that the extended posting page limit runs out at the end of the month does have something to do with this. But hey, at least we found SOMEthing to shake me out of my cowardice!

Not much to say, I'm afraid. But I figured I should say something. So, I finished drawing WWWS part 2, I'm inking the lines and doing the digital stuff at the same time. It's not so bad. I cue up a Youtube video and work on cleaning and coloring on the computer. When the video finishes, I go to the small folding table I use as a drawing desk, cue up a movie or an old TV episode and do penwork. When the movie or show finishes . . . you get the idea.

Sometimes I feel like I should be doing more with my life than just making this thing, going to work and, occasionally, sleeping. But right now there just isn't really anything else I particularly want to do. The push I feel to finish this thing is entirely internal, but it's still real. After all, every single one of us is working under a deadline - we just usually don't know when it is yet.

Well, uh, I got stuck in a pretty bad rut, but I'm finally back on the production track with part 2 of When We Were Strangers. I don't think anyone's ever poured this much work into something they expected to get zero money from other than maybe youth soccer or planning a wedding. I'm hoping to launch it in the second half of August - it's only 33 pages, how hard can it possibly be? (posted two days before my nervous breakdown)

Anyway, I have no idea how many of you care about the series, or read these posts, but just on the offchance that you do, I wanted to keep you in the loop and let you know that I'll have something for you, hopefully real soon!

I've been having some fun AI-generating backgrounds and collaging Pico and BF into them. Unfortunately, I cannot post them here, due to the NG proscription against AI-generated art. So, if you're into Pico+BF stuff, swing on by the Twitter or the DA, I've already got the first one up and I'll have a couple more ready over the next few days.

I know it looks like I've been quiet on NG (I have), but I just finished a new 11-page fan comic! It's a FNF fan comic, it's a comic about Pico and BF (shocker, I know) and while it doesn't contain nudity or graphic sexual content, it's a little more . . . caliente. . . than what I'm used to making. I can't explain exactly why I feel this way, but Newgrounds just does not feel like the place for it. But I did finish running it a few days ago over at Twitter, and it just went up at my DeviantArt. It's called "First Kiss." So, if my description of it has not scared you away yet, feel free to check it out. :)

Just letting everyone know where I'm at, because I know my visible production has gone down since I started my big thing, but I'm still hard at work! Right now it's on another side story for the big piece. It won't go on NG, but I'll direct people to a place to can read it when it's done. I don't think the larger NG audience would like it, but maybe I can make a fun pastiche page for it like I did with That Dream Again just in case I end up with panels, that I'm particularly proud of. I'm still hoping to launch at the end of February. I'm having a hard time with finishing my pages, but I'm doing my best.

You know what? Good for you. You refuse, if only temporarily, the pretty colors, loud sounds and fun distractions this site has to offer to actually pursue information. You probably watch educational TV too, like nature documentaries, or taped physics lectures. God, I wish I was more like you.

Anyway, I'm alive, just extremely busy. Will have a few things up for Valentine's Day. That is all.
